I’ve been struggling with depression for a very long time. I didn’t know that before, but it was happening, and since I didn’t knew what was going on, I didn’t do anything to fix it, and things got worse.
Worse to the point that I don’t feel like I’m worth living, or that I don’t deserve anything I have. And I have a lot: a loving family, an amazing husband, two cute crazy dogs, and few good friends. But I feel like I don’t deserve them.
I have another thing that is even bigger than the other things I said: I have GOD!
And this makes me feel even worse, because If I have God, I’m supposed to  be happy and grateful, and to feel the way I feel now is wrong, is a sin and I’m going to hell.
Nobody knows how is to feel like nothing that you do is right, and even if you are doing something right there’s a huge possibility of failure in a very near future or that even if you think you are doing right…..you are wrong.
Nobody knows how is to feel like you are not able to do literally anything. Nobody know how is to see that this is not just a thought, but the reality.
Nobody understand that when you say real things about yourself, is not self pity, but is just you facing the fact that you are not that awesome thing that you thought you were.
People think that shouting with you, or getting angry and giving moral lessons to you is going to help, but no! It just makes you feel even worse and guiltier.
GUILTY this word is been around my mind for a looong time. Guilty of what? Of everything! Guilty for not being able to do something useful, guilty of being depressed, guilty of this feeling you have, BECAUSE THIS IS ONLY A THING ON YOUR MIND, THAT YOU LET HAPPEN.
Guilty of having and keeping these thoughts, because this is what people tell you:  “As long as you keep thinking like that, you will never get better”!
But what people don’t know is that this is stronger than you, is not that easy to see yourself in the mirror, go back to your past and that you are a certain age, and you didn’t accomplished anything, you didn’t do anything remarkable, that you are forgettable.
Is not something that you can control. People have no idea how hard is to wake up everyday wishing and wanting to stay in bed the whole day not because you are lazy, but because you don’t have strength to stand up. You mind says you have to wake up, but your body is just too heavy to do it. And at the same time when you don’t want to stand up, you feel (again) guilty because you should be doing something useful, but you JUST CAN’T.
I wish people could understand how is to feel you whole body hurting with no reason, or to feel uncomfortable in your own house, uncomfortable with you own body, uncomfortable with your life.
And to feel guilty for being uncomfortable, and not being able to fix this or at least to not have enough strength to fix this.
People think I don’t want to fix this, but they don’t have idea how hard it is to look at yourself in the mirror and see nothing but FAILURE!
